Week 31, day 1

Baby room update:
Todd installed the old trim over the new floor. I think it looks fantastic.

Oh, and take note Chad Arney, we followed your advice and removed the baseboards before installing the floor. It was worth it!!!

Todd cut and stained this trim to match the rest of the existing trim in the room. Then I put the closet door back in.

Todd also cut and stained the trim for around the door to match. Great job Todd!!!

Week 30, day 6

Baby Room update:

The new light fixture. It was just too cute! I mean, the little fish are holding the lightbulbs in their mouths!

Baby Room, meet Ikea Poang Rocking Chair. Poang, meet Baby Room. I put this together last night and just sat in it.

Week 30, day 4

Baby room update:

the floor is going in! yay!!!

the floor is done. and I just had to see the area rug in there too. tomorrow, I think well have enough time for trim. 🙂

The green is up! But it needs another coat. The green doesn’t go over the white as well as the blue.

Couldn’t help it. I started peeling off the masking tape in the blue region. so exciting!!!!!

The blue is edged! I’m breakin’ out the roller next. But first a short break.

Week 29, day 7

Baby Room Update:

the closet’s painted. this is a horrible picture. it is really light and open now. it used to be wood panelled, like the rest of our house.

the ceiling’s painted, too! it looks plain white you say? well it’s not … it’s white chocolate!!! okay I have to go eat something now.

Week 29, day 2

Baby Room Update:

I primed the whole room tonight with zero VOC, low odor kilz. can you still see the masking tape trees? I hope they turn out.

Baby Room update:
I started doing more trees around the corner and it was looking too dense and forced. so we removed about an hour’s worth of masking tape.

29 weeks pregnant and starting to show it!

baby room progress: the masking tape will remain woodgrain while rest is painted. waddya think?
